  • David C. Dvorak

    Executive Chairman

    David has had a long career in the medical device industry, particularly in the orthopedics industry, and in board and board committee work.

    David spent 16 years at Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. where he rose to the position of president and chief executive officer. During his tenure as CEO, David successfully grew revenues from $3.5 billion to $7.7 billion. He championed the $13.4 billion acquisition of Biomet, Inc. as well as multiple other acquisitions, including surgical robotics provider Medtech SA. David has long recognized that enabling technologies, data and analytics are key components for improving the outcomes of surgery. David also currently serves as chairman of the board and chief executive officer at Deep Think Health, Inc. and managing director at Black Lake Expeditions, LLC.

  • Stuart Simpson

    President & Chief Executive Officer

    Stuart has over two decades of experience in the medical devices industry and a deep understanding of the orthopedics and orthopedic surgical robotics market. Prior to joining THINK Surgical, Stuart had a successful 24-year career at Stryker Corp. holding roles of increasing responsibility ultimately assuming the position of president of joint replacement. He led Stryker into the robotics market in 2013 with the $1.65 billion acquisition of Mako Surgical Corp. Stuart recognizes that a successful robotics business requires a digital and data ecosystem and he has formed strategic partnerships to bring these capabilities to THINK Surgical. Stuart has extensive experience as a board and committee member of both public and private companies and currently serves as executive chairman of Breg, Inc.

  • Patricia Davis

    Chief Legal Officer

    Prior to joining THINK Surgical, Patty spent two decades as the Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel of public and private medical device companies. Patty has extensive experience in managing the various legal issues faced by fast-growing companies launching novel medical device technology. She has established strong patent portfolios and successfully executed patent litigation and licensing programs resulting in receipt of large royalty payments from competitors. Patty is well versed in complex contract negotiations, and she has been an integral part of the achievement of first-ever FDA clearances. Patty holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School, and is a patent attorney licensed by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

  • Chris Fronk

    Chief Commercial Officer

    Chris has two decades of experience in selling enabling technologies in orthopedics and has excelled in his career by building strong partnerships with customers, sales colleagues, corporate colleagues, and implant sales representatives. Prior to joining THINK Surgical, he had a successful 17-year career at Stryker Corp. where he sold orthopedic instruments, surgical navigation, and Mako surgical robotics technologies. Chris has great instincts regarding customer expectations, commercial models and user experiences with enabling technologies. Chris holds a BA in Marketing from Stetson University and has been recognized with numerous outstanding sales and career achievement awards.

  • Paul Weiner

    Chief Financial Officer

    Paul has three decades of experience in executive financial positions across a number of private and publicly traded medical device organizations. Prior to joining THINK Surgical, Paul served as chief financial officer of Conformis, Inc. and Palomar Medical Technologies, Inc., both publicly traded companies. Paul was successful in multiple rounds of financing during his 18-year tenure at Palomar and responsible for taking Conformis public in 2015. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant and has a BS in Accounting from Bryant University.

  • Nick Margree

    Vice President Marketing

    Nick has over two decades of experience in sales and marketing within the medical device industry for both private and publicly traded organizations. Nick has held senior positions in general management and brand strategy for robotic, digital, and consumable technologies within the global orthopedics market. Prior to joining THINK Surgical, Nick worked for Stryker Corp. and was instrumental in developing the European orthopedic robotics market. Nick has a BSc. in Pharmacology from University of Bristol and an Executive MBA from University of Bath.

  • Park Mehendale

    Vice President Operations

    Park has a long career history in global operations, supply chain, and engineering management within the medical devices industry. Prior to joining THINK Surgical, Park served in senior leadership roles in operations, manufacturing engineering and new product commercialization across multiple sites in organizations including Conformis Inc., Stryker, Zimmer-Biomet, and United Technologies. Park has significant experience in supply chain scale-up with a focus on quality and profitability.

  • Meliha Mulalic

    Vice President Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs

    Meliha has over two decades of experience in QA and RA within venture funded and public medical device companies. Prior to joining THINK Surgical, Meliha was successful in the development and execution of regulatory submissions including 510(k)s, IDEs and CE marks for various medical device companies including Evolve Manufacturing Technologies, Inc., Hansen Medical Inc., DePuy Spine, and Johnson & Johnson. Meliha has extensive experience with complex development projects involving both capital equipment and disposables, providing leadership, guidance and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Meliha is a registered nurse and holds a BS in Medicine from Medical University of Sarajevo. Meliha has been recognized with numerous awards including Lead Auditor ISO 13485 (RABQSA/Exemplar Global, License Q20138).

  • Jaehoon (Jay) Yang

    Vice President Corporate Development

    Jay has been part of the executive leadership team of THINK Surgical since 2016. Prior to joining THINK Surgical, he worked in industry and financial institutions such as KT Corporation, Mirae Asset Venture Investment (Korea), SK Securities Investment Asia (Hong Kong), Fitch Ratings (Korea), and Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific (Hong Kong). Jay holds a BA in Business Administration from Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University.

  • Joel Zuhars

    Vice President Research & Development

    Joel has extensive knowledge and experience with the highest expertise in surgical robotics. Prior to rejoining THINK Surgical, Mr. Zuhars gained decades of engineering experience with a number of global medical device manufacturers including Zimmer, General Electric, NCBI, and Applied Physics Lab. Mr. Zuhars participates in the AAMI robotics committee and is serving on an international standards committee for a new medical robotics standard (80601-2-77). Joel was awarded the Computerworld Smithsonian Award for Arts and Science for Medicine (joint award) in 1992 for the original ROBODOC system. Joel holds a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California at Davis and a BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
