THINK Surgical and Curexo Announce Entry Into Development and Distribution Agreement

(FREMONT, CA) August 1, 2022 – THINK Surgical, Inc., an innovator in the field of orthopedic surgical robots, today announced its entry into a development and distribution agreement with Curexo, Inc., a medical robotics specialist company based in South Korea. THINK and Curexo have a strong working relationship based on historical development collaboration and Curexo distributes THINK’s TSolution One™ platform in Korea and Vietnam. Under the development and distribution agreement, THINK and Curexo will work together to include certain existing THINK technology and certain newly developed technology in Curexo’s CUVIS-Joint orthopedic surgical robot platform. THINK will have exclusive rights to distribute the CUVIS-Joint robotic platform, including the additional technology, in the United States and other countries, including the United Kingdom and certain countries in the European Union. The CUVIS-Joint robotic platform is currently being used by surgeons in Korea and India with great success. To date over 4,000 procedures have been performed. Curexo will continue to commercialize the CUVIS-Joint robotic platform, including new technology developed with THINK, outside of the countries in THINK’s distribution territory. THINK Surgical and Concordia University Receive NSERC Alliance and MEDTEQ+ 3-Year Grant to Develop Artificial Intelligence for Robotic Surgery

THINK Surgical, Inc., a leading innovator in the field of robotic surgery, is pleased to announce a collaborative project between Concordia University and THINK Surgical funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada and MEDTEQ+. The focus of this project will be on developing advanced image registration algorithms using machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The results may then be incorporated in THINK Surgical’s next-generation robotic solutions for orthopedic surgery. NSERC is the national funding agency of the Government of Canada and will be supporting this project under the Alliance program, whose grants are peer-reviewed and highly competitive. MEDTEQ+ is the pan-Canadian industry-led consortium for research and innovation in medical technologies. David C. Dvorak Invests $5 Million in THINK Surgical

This investment was completed through Black Lake Expeditions, LLC, an entity for which Mr. Dvorak serves as managing director. Mr. Dvorak became THINK Surgical's Executive Chairman of the Board last year following an extensive search process. Mr. Dvorak had a successful 16-year career at Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. where he most recently held the position of president and chief executive officer for a decade.
